Guido Cefalu’ was born in 1946, Italian citizen, an Attorney-at-Law and Harvard MBA. Started his career in International Finance at Lazard Frerès &Co. in New York in 1973 as a financial analyst in the corporate Finance department.
Broadens his experience with J.P. Morgan & Co. from 1975 to 1982, initially in Paris and then in New York becoming Vice President in Corporate Finance in 1978. From 1982 to 1994 he is Chief Executive Officer of Compagnia Finanziaria Italiana SpA, the merchant bank which he set up with IFIL (FIAT Group).
From 1994 to present he set up a Professional Partnership with Henry Shohet, Shohet & Cefalu, offering wealth Management services as well as Corporate Finance and Private Equity. Worked for Sibelco S.A., the world largest silica producer, on their acquisition program in Italy; contributed to the setting up of Ifis Bank, the largest Italian Factoring services provider; contributed to the development of the Strategic Planning of Credito Sportivo, the specialized Italian Bank for Sport related financing.
He is currently working with Clients to organize, execute and monitor Private Equity Transactions. Among other, he participated to the Sourcing, Analysis, Due Diligence and Execution of Investments in Switch Ltd, a leading advertising platform in UK ( rated the 2nd best Hi Tech company in UK by the Sunday Times in 2013); Minatura, Ltd., a junior gold developer in Colombia; Pain Quotidien ( LPQ Ltd) in Russia, a licensee of the Belgian Bakery chain) and Streetlife Ltd., a UK Social Network.
Roger Dunlop is the Partner responsible for the Real Estate activities within the SFO. Roger is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has been working within the real estate industry for nearly 30 years. Operating as both principle and advisor, he has worked on a wide range of activities including both development and investment across Western, Central and Eastern Europe. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the real estate including acquisitions, legal, finance, construction, sales and marketing, cost management and project management. Currently with homes in both Prague (where he has lived for the last 7 years) and London, Roger is advising Avestus Capital Partners on its development portfolio across Central and Eastern Europe, where the Group are developing a number of schemes across the Region including office, retail and residential. He was previously a partner of Avestus and still has a close working relationship with the Group. Prior to working with Avestus, Roger was Managing Director and CEO positions at leading real estate entities in the UK, including:
- 2002 – 2006, Divisional Managing Director of Gleeson Homes, a wholly owned subsidiary of MJ Gleeson Group;
- 1999 – 2001, residential Managing Director at Chelverton International;
- 1996 – 1999, Managing Director, South Thames division of CountrysideProperties.
After 10 years spent in the equity capital markets in Brussels, New York, London and Zurich, in 1993 Giancarlo Camerana made a change to his career and went into asset management and investment advisory. He was a co-founder of Bucephale Asset Management (BAM) in Dublin, a leading provider of investment advisory services for the alternative investment sector. BAM was the investment advisor, together with Bank Julius Baer, of CreInvest AG, the first listed company on the Zurich Stock Exchange investing in hedge funds. Since April 2000 he is CEO of Aris Capital (Suisse) S.A. in Zug and Geneva. The company provides investment advisory services to institutional investors and family offices, including hedge funds, real estate and precious metals. Giancarlo Camerana is also co-founder of Swiss Bullion Corporation AG, a recently established producer of precious metals coins and ingots After many years of working together he has joined the SFO as an Associate Partner. He is currently developing an Asset Management Company in Gibraltar.
Pierfrancesco Battistini was born in 1963, Italian Citizen, Bologna University graduate, Member of AIAF. Started his professional career with Studio Albertini, Stockbroker in Milan, in 1990 as a financial analyst. Broadens his experience with Imi Sigeco from 1991 to 1999 dealing with Institutional Investors with responsibility mainly for Switzerland and Luxembourg. From 1999 worked for Unicredit Banca Mobiliare in charge of Swiss Institutional Sales. During those years he participated in the largest Italian IPOs, like ENI, Tod’s and Poltrona Frau. In 2008 he founded BPF Consulting Srl a company specialized in strategic advice to industrial and financial institutions. In the same year he joined SFO as an Associate Partner in Milan.
